It comes to the end...

After 13 weeks be in the course, then it is the time to say goodbye to ICTPE. Well, time goes up very fast no matter how much we have learn during ICTPE classes. For me,I have learn so many things in this course especially regarding the ICT. The most interesting part that I learn was SMART BOARD and how to personalize the Power point presentation. The quantity of the words or slides does not reflects the quality of the contents or the presentation itself. Simplicity and objectivity is the most important things to be considered while preparing power point presentation. The question from the short quiz yesterday has recall my memory about things that I have overlooked before.Talking about the quiz,the questions is quite tough and its constrains my mind to recall what I have learn.But, I managed to answer it by all means.Then, it was the last thing that I did during ICTPE class. I hope I will continuously enjoy blogging so that I still can share and express things with friends and the ICTPE team.

ICTPE final exam

Last week we had a exam for ICTPE.As it is a paperless course,so it is quite difficult for us to determine what topic that we supposed to read or do some revision.As Prof Maznah said, just recall what you have been learning during the course is pretty good to answer the questions. So I feel quite relief because the questions won't be so hard then.However,the nervousness was there seeing some of my friends holding stacks of notes before the exam.I just glance through the definition of blogs and just recalled back what I have been learning all this while and thats' it.The time to is coming and the questions were a bit challenging but I managed to answer it.

Presentation of Smartboard Assignment

Last week is the due for Smartboard assignment.Each group has to select the best piece and present it.There were 4 groups presenting and for our group (IT Savvy), Anis Amira was the representative and Asha has presented for her behalf. After viewing all the presentation, I would say that everyone has done a good job and their work were impressive.I could see that Prof Maznah keep on smiling seeing her students doing the great job as she expected.It was proven that most of us really put an effort to do the assignment and we also get the compliment from her. Maybe at first,most of us feel like it is hard to do this particular assignment but we did it at last.

Reflection on evaluation

This is already 11th week and the semester almost come to the end.However,ICTPE class is going on as usual.Last week,we have to fill in some evaluation form which is online. There are lots of questions asking our opinion and overview about the course. For me, this is a good way to evaluate the course because through this,the lecturer can see the effectiveness of the class along the semester. Besides, this is good for us too because we can reflect how much we learn and understand the course. For me,this course is interesting because it is paperless and what we need to do is to do work at the finger tips. The reason for saying this is ICT is a part of our life so everyday we need to deal and use computer and internet.So,this is a good part of the course as we always can interact through forum, and also submit assignment by uploading it to the Moodle web. Everything is really on my finger tips and I hope in the next semester,there will be more courses like ICTPE.

Smartboard assigment

This is the next post I made after a long break from blogging.Last week is the due for Assignment 3 which was Smartboard. We have been working on the assignment for 2 weeks and it is a good experience for me.Honestly, I am not a creative person who can think creatively to do the smartboard assignment. I have lots of ideas in my mind but I could hardly able to express it in my assignment.That is bad,isn't it? But after i see my friend' piece, I feel like 'whoa'!She did it so greatly with colourful pictures, animation and so on. I try to do her way but then there was something hinder me.I was assigned to do English subject but what i had in my head was Science.However,after I looked through some websites in the net and brainstormed, I gained some ideas and lastly I did it but maybe not so creative like the others do. I feel a bit frustrated in a way but I try to calm myself by saying 'at least you have try to do it no matter what'. I have to admit that doing this assignment was not easy and smooth along the way but I try so hard and hopefully I can impress others too...

Poster

Merdeka celebration is the famous words among all of us recently. Yes,this is because we are celebrating it by the end of this month. Last week,during technology class, we were instructed to do the poster for merdeka. It was a group work and it has to be done within half an hour. The templates and pictures were given and we must use which were available only. I fine that it was not a good idea by asssigning us to choose the templates given because it confined our creativity and innovativity. However, the pictures provided were good because they really reflected Malaysian such as multi racial, old generations, sky scrappers building and also the nature to show the harmonious country. From my point of view, the instructions was effective but it can always be improved. For the improvement, I would suggests the task can be done individually because everyone has their own ideas and intrepretation about merdeka. Therefore, the posters can be one way to express everyone thoughts and it is good if we can use blogspot to publish our posters. Instead of using poster, they are other ways that can be used such as song or poem creations. About the resources, it would be better if we can choose any pictures or templates to design our posters. Besides, the time frame should be longer so that more creative ideas can be put in the posters. Furthermore, we should be given enough time to think about the reasons for using the particular colours, fonts, pictures and also arrangement of the posters. During the last session, we did not have enough time because we were busy designing the posters and while waiting for the turn to present only we discussed about what we are going to say. I think this design session can be carrried out in the primary school by making it as a poster design competition with ample time allocation. This is because I want to see the primary pupils' ideas arranged in organize way. If it is a rush, then the pupils just do it how much they can do without proper organization of thoughts. Finally, to conclude this blog, I want to say that TIME is hectic when we are doing the poster last week. That is why I emphasize more about time.

It's about uploading and blogging!

I like technology because it makes my life easier and convenient. Why do I say so? This is because I can keep in touch with the lecturers and friends without need to see them face to face. For example, I can submit my assigment by uploading it to the lecturer's email although it's already late at night. Hence,there is no rush in printing out the assignment and there's no worry about running out the ink if tomorrow is the due for the submitting. Furthermore,I feel my life become more organized as I can just log in to the websites to see the latest news or tasks for the courses. This is very important because as students,we have lack of time to glance through every notice board to see if there is any current issue or assignment to do. Besides, lecturers also can assess the students via our blog. The creativity is the must for everyone as it part of the assessment. But it is not a big deal because everyone of us are very expert in decorating our blogspot. We also try to bring up a good view or comments about the lecture weekly. For me, the blog is the best place where we can say or voice out what we want to say about anything especially regarding this courses.

Software,cikgu.net,school.net

It's about software! Recently, during the technology class which was on 1st of August, I have learned about the websites such as cikgu.net,school.net and many others.There are many websites which available for the teachers to look up for the ideas about the content and topic to be taught during the class. It is very useful because the integration of technology to the primary school in these days might get the teachers' attention to find some resources to be used. Besides the websites, there are also softwares like MYcd which is use for the EtemS classes. This softwares might be very helpful for the Science and Maths teachers to use for the lesson such as tasks,content-based exercises and so on. So far as I concern, the education nowadays is much more better compared to the past because of the facilities and the moduls made for the teachers make the teaching become an ease job for us in terms of the resources that we will be using during the class. Therefore, we should make use of this in order to be an excellent teachers in future.
